Introducing Notifications
Notifications is a service that will deliver timely RBC Direct Investing® account-related messages through email and push notifications sent to your mobile device. Read on to get a closer look at how to view and manage your notifications.
Update your notification preferences
You can update your notification preferences on the Manage Notifications page, found under the My Portfolio menu.
On this page, you can:
- Update your email address
You can choose to receive email notifications to your preferred email address. Simply enter the email address in the box under “Email Address.”
The email address that you provide is where all of your notifications will be sent — the ones you may already be receiving, and those you select from this page, such as trading and portfolio activity alerts, Community updates, stock and market updates and IPO alerts.
- Choose your notification preferences
Here you can choose the types of notifications you would like to receive. If you choose not to receive any notifications, you will still receive important information regarding the ongoing operation and maintenance of your Direct Investing account.
Note: Grow your investing knowledge notifications are coming soon.
Remember to click “Save Preferences” once you are done.
Mobile notifications – coming soon!
If you have downloaded the RBC® Mobile1 app you may already be receiving mobile push notifications from RBC on your device. With the next release of the RBC Mobile app, you will also receive notifications about your RBC Direct Investing (RBC DI) account. You will be able to view the mobile notifications from RBC DI on a new Notifications page, which you can access from your Home page.
A new look for your Home page
When you log in and visit your Home page, you’ll see a new look that summarizes everything you need to see when you log in to your RBC Direct Investing account, including:
- New! Important Notices
If there are any account notices that require your attention, you will see them at the top of your Home page. - New location to access the Secure Message Centre
You can now access your Secure Message Centre from the Home page through “Messages” on the top right of your Home page. - Redesigned Quote box
The “Quote box” has a new design and is now located on the top right corner of the page.
As always, your Home page shows your Portfolio, RBC Rewards® and Practice Account information.
